From December 6-9 in Washington, D.C. at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Downtown Hotel, NLADA will hold its 2017 Annual Conference. More than 700 equal justice advocates will come together to participate in substantive workshops on topics critical to helping effectively meet the legal needs of low-income people.
Don't miss R2C’s panel: Right to Counsel National Campaign: Charting the Path to Change. During this workshop, there will be a discussion on the purpose of R2C, what was accomplished, what was learned, and how audience members can carry the torch forward as R2C comes to a formal close. Specifically, topics discussed will be the findings of the public opinion report American Views on the Right to Counsel and Public Defense, how defenders and advocates can use the information presented, and any initial findings we have from the R2C System Actor Roundtables. The panel will close with a call to action for all attendees to continue the work of R2C both nationally and locally.
The NLADA Annual Conference is the premier skills-building and knowledge-sharing event for the civil legal aid, public defense, and public interest law communities.
